Welcome to St. John's Anglican Primary School, a beacon of educational excellence in the heart of Lagos Island. Our mission is to nurture young minds, fostering a love for learning and a commitment to personal growth.
St John's was founded in 1857 in a small shed within the church grounds. This shed gave way to a T-shaped building in 1870. This was later converted to a three-storey building, completed on 28th of September 1954 and commissioned by Hon. Ike Nwachukwu - the then Federal Minister for Education. On the 11th of October 1954, the staff and pupils moved to occupy this new building, and the school has remained on the same site. Many prominent Nigerians were products of the school.
